Ian Two Weeks Old

As you can see, it's hard to get a picture of Ian all by himself. Everyone adores him, but no one quite as much as Jada. She wants to hug and kiss him every time, and all the time, he's up. I've never had a kid be quite as smoothering as her... maybe she's bored and trying for attention... maybe it's a girl thing... or maybe I have just lost all control!
Ian is nearly two weeks old. He's filling out, finally fits clothes and he's getting responsive enough that he likes to listen to the music on his toy horse. My Grandpa knitted that baby blanket... can you believe it? It's beautiful!

Ian at One Week old

Here's a picture of Ian at one week old. He looks like all the rest with a little bit of a lighter complexion and lighter hair. Isn't the quilt the cutest you've ever seen? My Mom made it and I love it!

Ian Mark Anderson finally arrives!

Born November 19 at 7:05 pm, Ian weighed 7 lbs. 15 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long. His delivery was really smooth and we made it to the hospital with nearly two hours to spare. He is healthy and beautiful and, so far, very cooperative.
My Mom and Dad are here visiting and doing everything for me; I can just relax and adjust to having a new baby added to the family. We feel very blessed and are very happy.

Everyone loves and looks up to Clarke. He is a great big brother. Reese especially admires him and wants to be just like him. On this birthday cake, Reese set up the candles for Clarke in "Y" formation, because he knew Clarke would think that was cool.
Dara is everyone's friend... always so helpful and kind. She can usually be found playing with Reese and Jada or teasing Clarke! She is beautiful and creative and definitely all girl!
Reese's energy is endless! He is always coming up with something new and making us all laugh. I hope he'll never lose his spunk, but we are grateful that he is growing up and channeling his energy better.
Jada is a strong-willed two year old. She tries her hardest to keep up with the older kids, and they are usually good to include her. She has a beautiful smile, but is careful with whom she shares it.

I'm finally giving in...

Well, after getting invitations to several blogs from others, I have finally decided to give this a try. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and kind of fun. Perhaps the new baby expected within a couple of months is the driving motivation, but I'm glad we got this started. Hopefully this will be any easy way to get pictures of a new baby out to family and friends that live so far away.
